Read The Story. Get In The Story.

Stories where kids don't just follow the adventure. They move through it.

A Story That Gets Them Off The Page.

Get Active Stories put reading, writing, choices and movement in the same activity. A word, a move, a line of story. Then the next one.

Kids who go quiet when you say “write a story” will move through one word, say a sentence out loud, then write it down. One job at a time.

What's Out Now.

Two are free to print today. More are in the works.

Story 01

The Story Challenge

Grades 2 to 830 minutes or 30 daysFree

The kid picks a word. They do the movement for every letter in it. Then that word goes into the next sentence of their story. Thirty days builds a long story a line at a time. Thirty minutes builds a short one in a single sitting.

What the child does: picks, moves, writes, repeats.

Story 02

Get Active Mad Libs

Grades 2 to 810 to 20 minutesFree

A silly story with the words missing and the movements written in. Kids fill the blanks, read it out and act out the moves as they hit them. Reading, parts of speech and a room that will not stay still.

What the child does: fills the blanks, reads it out, acts it out.

More Stories Are Being Written

Characters, longer adventures and stories a class can run together. We're building them the same way we build everything else: try it with real kids first, keep what works.

Want to be told when the next one lands, or tell us what your class needs? Send us a note.

Why Is The Story Moving?

Because sitting still is the part kids are already good at.

The Move Buys The Line

Movement isn't the break from the work. It's how the kid earns the next word, so the story keeps going.

Nobody Gets Stuck

A blank page asks for character, setting, problem and ending at once. This asks for one word.

Every Movement Can Be Swapped

Seated, standing, quieter or smaller. The learning stays the same, so nobody sits out.

For Teachers.

Print it and run it. No marking scheme, no gym booking, no equipment.

  • Language. Vocabulary, sentence building, oral retelling and composition, depending on which story you run.
  • Daily physical activity. Ontario asks for 20 minutes of activity during class time. These can be part of it, in 5 or 10 minute blocks.
  • Indoor recess. Works beside the desks on a rainy day.
  • Any room. Classroom, hallway, gym or yard. Standing space is enough.

Whether a single run hits the full 20 minutes depends on how long you go and how hard the class works. We say what it can do, not what it guarantees.
